Broken Laws, Unprotected Workers (2009)

A landmark national survey of 4,387 workers in low-wage industries in the three largest U.S. cities–Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York City. Included amongst the most startling revelations is that 60% of workers are underpaid by at least a dollar an hour.
