What We Do

The Los Angeles Worker Center Network (LAWCN) was established in 2017 as a unique regional space for collaboration among the worker centers of the Los Angeles region.

Through worker organizing, policy advocacy, capacity building, and services, we build upon more than a decade of coordinated activities among the region’s worker centers to improve conditions in key low-wage industries.

LAWCN works strategically at the city, county, and state level to leverage opportunities and resources to create tangible advances for workers.

Our Values

Collaboration

Worker-centeredness

Three strategic priorities, as identified by our network members, inform LAWCN’s work:

1. Increase the capacity of worker centers for long-term sustainability

2. Launch and amplify impact of campaigns

3. Coordinate and collaborate on organizer and staff training
